Book Review: THE GIRL IN THE GLASS CASE

 ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

"The Girl In The Glass Case" by Devashish Sardana is a spine-chilling, hair-raising psycho-thriller crime novel.

"Keep YOUR GIRLS SAFE. BOYS SAFER."  - this tagline further ignited me to find out why it was written- the way it was.

Can you justify your murders? You can't. But they did.

In Bhopal, two murderers named Clipper and The Doll Maker are causing havoc with their heinous killings.

The doll maker presents the bodies of his felons inside the glass case, dressed as Barbie dolls. In the meantime, the Clipper had grown accustomed to its nine-year routine of killing a specific group of people.

When The Doll Maker is the only one famous, Clipper is enraged at having stolen the honor.

Why do they commit indiscriminate killings? Are the murders really out of control? Or do they run amok?

To learn more, read it out loud.

Simone, who is adamant about solving The Doll Maker's case, is unaware of her true rival. Will she perish in the crossfire, or will she escape?

Is it too difficult to accept us for who we are? Is it too difficult to live up to this society's norms? What happens if we're rejected by society, or even just our family? Do we have a sexual identity?

Why isn't the murder of our innocence viewed as childhood trauma? What do you think, people?

Do you have the power to challenge and face a brutal and unkind society?

The aspect of this book that I appreciated the most was how openly it discussed taboo topics in our society, such as LGBTQ+ issues, childhood trauma, mental health, ego awareness, and self-consciousness.

I was in awe of the plot turns.

Anyone who enjoys frantic psycho-crime thrillers should read this book!
