EMBRACING LIGHT AND THE DARK
It is often said that opposites attract, like how darkness is drawn to light and vice versa. However, we often overlook the fact that we also seek similarities and connections. We look for that one connection that feels right, that resonates with who we are. Whether it's attracting the same light or the same darkness, the key lies in how we carry it.
If we attract the same perspective as ourselves, whether it's light or dark, too much of it can have its drawbacks. Too much light can blindfold us, while too much darkness can engulf us. On the other hand, if we attract the opposite, we run the risk of losing a part of ourselves. Either the dark takes over or the light does.
But what if we respected our differences? What if we accept ourselves the way we are? What if we understood that everyone has their own reasons for being the way they are? And what if we embraced both our light and our dark sides?
In doing so, it wouldn't matter how much darkness or light we possess. It would be our choice, our reason, and we would be solely responsible for the life we choose. There would be no one to blame but ourselves.
So, let's consider embracing both our light and dark sides. Let's respect our differences. Let's learn not to take everything personally. Life becomes much easier when we understand our worth.
Before accepting others with their flaws, can you accept yours? Can you forgive yourself for your mistakes? Can you take a faith leap even when you know it won't work out? Can you put aside the constant pressure for the right thing off your head? Can you just be yourself without putting on the mask?
It's okay to let go sometimes. Just experience some things without overthinking. Embrace your flaws.
